Medication Aide

Must be a CNA I listed on state registry. This course covers the basic preparation for administration of medications by unlicensed persons in a variety of settings. It is designed to prepare persons to take the competency testing required for listing as a Medication Aide in the State of North Carolina.

The total course cost does not include:

*Total cost does not include CPR, TB test. Care One offers CPR classes ($65) for students without an up-to-date card and TB tests ($30) for those that do not have an up-to-date test.

Mandatory Requirements

1) Social Security Card

2) Picture ID – Driver’s License, Passport, Military ID, or other Legal DMV ID

Must be complete. If you are currently attending a higher level of learning and are not finished, use the completed transcript from your lower level education.

Must be navy blue, the cost is $30.  If a student wishes to buy/use their own navy blue uniform, that is allowed. Uniform must have the Care One logo on it, and the cost for logo placement is $10.

NA I listing on NC Nurse Aide I Registry is required to work in a skilled nursing facility with this certification. This certification will not meet requirements to work in an Adult Care Facility
