This course provides the student with skills that are important in assisting the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medication.
The student will be trained in medication order processing, inventories, compounding, packaging, use of a prescription balance, HIPAA privacy act and computer.
This program prepares graduates for certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, the students are eligible to take the National Certification Exam.
