Phlebotomy Technician

This Phlebotomy Technician Program prepares professionals to collect blood and other specimens from clients for the purpose of laboratory analysis. Students will become familiar with all aspects related to blood collection and develop comprehensive skills to perform venipunctures correctly and safely. Instruction includes medical terminology, related anatomy and physiology, blood collection procedures, and procedures for collection of other types of specimens within the scope of practice of the phlebotomist. A minimum of thirty total ‘sticks’ will be performed by the end of the lab portion of the course.

Mandatory Requirements

Must be complete. If you are currently attending a higher level of learning and are not finished, use the completed transcript from your lower level education.

Must be navy blue, the cost is $30.  If a student wishes to buy/use their own navy blue uniform, that is allowed. Uniform must have the Care One logo on it, and the cost for logo placement is $10.

American Heart Association BLS only. Must be valid throughout the length of the course. Care One offers CPR certification courses for $65.

Must be completed and signed by a physician or Practitioner.

Must be ordered at the time of registration. All types of felony or misdemeanor convictions, those that are pending, and questionable histories will be reviewed by the director of the institute or designee.
